Boundary Surveys/Lot Splits/Consolidations

A boundary survey, also known as a stake or property survey, is a survey for which the main purpose includes:

  • determining the perimeter and area of a tract or parcel of land
  • the monumentation of the boundaries of a tract or parcel of land
  • platting and layout of a tract or parcel
  • Dividing or Consolidating a tract or parcel
Elevation Certificates

According to FEMA, an elevation certificate “is to be used to provide elevation information necessary to ensure compliance with community floodplain management ordinances, to determine the proper insurance premium rate, and to support a request for a Letter of Map Amendment (LOMA) or Letter of Map Revision based on fill (LOMR-F)”.

Site Plans

A survey required by many jurisdictions to obtain a permit to build or construct upon a parcel or tract of land. Site plans usually include establishing the boundary lines, the location of existing structures, the location of proposed improvements and structures relative to lots lines and setback lines, and the topography of the land.
